New Zealand mudsnails Potamopyrgus antipodarum (Gray) (family Hydrobidae) have invaded many streams in the western United States over the past 20 years, including Idaho waterways. New Zealand mudsnails have been observed in the Silver Creek drainage, Blaine County, Idaho for at least five years, but their abundance has remained low and their range appears somewhat restricted.
